  • It was really worth the wait. As a Belgian, I studied the artist. But how you blended his art with this deck, using only the hands and the symbolism of tarot... Stunning !!!

    Tiziana M. / Italy

  • Wow, the deck is gorgeous. I can’t really wait to dive into it and learn the ins and outs. The whole Kickstarter experience was also awesome.

The Story

Inspired by the works of early Renaissance Flemish artist Jan van Eyck, The Haptic Tarot dives into the secrets of the cards, where hands play a central role in expressing their unique language. This deck guides seekers on a tactile journey of self-discovery, inviting you to uncover profound connections between image, symbol, and intuition.

The Haptic Tarot is the culmination of a lifelong passion for art history and design theory. What began as a desire to weave the depth of Renaissance imagery into the tarot became a rich visual language of its own — one that celebrates tradition while embracing contemporary creative tools and techniques. The result is a deck that empowers you to explore the interplay between symbolism and sensation, reflecting both ancient roots and modern perspectives.

The Deck

As a designer and artist, I’ve always dreamed of creating a tarot deck that not only captured my love of early Renaissance art but also explored how imagery shapes our inner landscapes. Translating the vivid images in my mind into a tangible deck was a challenge that took time, experimentation, and a willingness to blend intuition with emerging technology and craft.

What emerged over more than a year of refinement are the decadent images that make up the 78 cards of this deck — each paying homage to artistic tradition while inviting readers to see familiar archetypes with fresh eyes.

The Artwork

The artwork of The Haptic Tarot pays homage to the early history of tarot while honoring the symbolic richness of Renaissance iconography. Though not of Italian descent, Jan van Eyck’s inclusion of iconographic elements mirrors the visual depth found in the earliest known card traditions. These symbols evoke the co-existence of the spiritual and material worlds, encouraging readers to seek meaning beyond the surface.

In a world where much of our experience is digital, this deck invites you to engage with the physical sensations of the cards themselves. By focusing on hands rather than faces, the art encourages you to bring your own intuition into the conversation, allowing personal interpretation to flourish alongside established meanings.

The Kickstarter

The Haptic Tarot launched on March 13th, 2024, through Kickstarter and reached its funding goal in just over three hours. What began as a deeply personal creative project quickly grew beyond expectations, ultimately surpassing its goal by more than 300%.

The response from the tarot community was immediate and generous. Readers and practitioners from around the world shared their excitement for the deck’s tactile, intuitive approach, affirming a desire for a slower, more embodied way of working with the cards.

Thanks to that support, all decks were produced and shipped to backers, allowing The Haptic Tarot to first enter the world through the hands of those who believed in it from the very beginning. The success of the campaign laid the groundwork for everything that followed, including the opportunity to bring the deck to a wider audience through traditional publishing.

This launch remains a defining chapter in the story of The Haptic Tarot, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.

The Mass Market

I’m honored to share that The Haptic Tarot has been officially picked up for publication by U.S. Games Systems, Inc., one of the most respected and long-standing publishers of tarot and divination decks in the world.

The US Games Systems edition includes a newly expanded companion guidebook, offering deeper reflections, card meanings, and practical guidance to support both seasoned readers and those new to tarot. The guidebook was developed to mirror the deck’s tactile and intuitive philosophy, encouraging readers to engage with the cards through observation, sensation, and personal insight.

Pre-orders for the US Games Systems edition of The Haptic Tarot are now live, with an expected release in July 2026.

Thank you, truly, for helping carry this deck from a personal creative experiment into something that will continue its life far beyond my own hands.

Thank You

The realization of The Haptic Tarot would not be possible without both your generous financial support and the wonderful words of encouragement. When I began teasing images of the initial artwork online, I had no idea that it would generate such interest and excitement. My hope is that as this deck ventures into the world, Tarot readers and enthusiasts at every level can amplify their intuitions, forming new and unique connections with the cards.

Your support has been invaluable, and I am immensely grateful for the community that has embraced The Haptic Tarot with open hearts and minds.

Much love,

The Album

While bringing The Haptic Tarot to life, I collected songs and melodies that felt like companions to this deck — tracks that both inspired and resonated with its creation. To add another layer to your Tarot experience, I created an album of these songs for both inspiration and reflection.
